While clearing the office today, a keyboard fell from the top of a stack of stuff and hit Kathy on the bridge of the nose. Fortunately, her nose wasn’t broken, but because she was sitting on a stool and the keyboard fell about 7 feet, she blacked out for a few minutes. By the time I made it up from the basement crawl space, she was alert but in a lot of pain. I took her outside and put some ice on her face. Kathy, being Kathy, rested about 20 minutes and went back to work.
We cleared most of the yard and more than half of the crawl space. Kathy also managed to clear most of the office, but we had to knock off early because her head was hurting so much.
We had Grant and Reagan Binder hauling trash. Little Reagan pulled about 20 loads of trash up the hill in the red wagon we salvaged. The heat and exertion wore her out after about an hour and we sent her to the carport to rest while her brother finished the job. She was feeling very tired and a little nauseous when she left. Her parents stopped to tell us she was okay, and they were proud of her for working so hard. We are, too. Thank you Reagan. Thank you, Mr, Binder for making another trash bag run. And thank you, Grant for another day of hard work.
Alice finished sorting the stuff in the bathroom. Most of it had to be thrown out because of the leaks. The bathroom cabinet fell apart when Meka and DeeDee came by to clean. It had to be thrown out and the sink removed from the wall. Paul will be over tomorrow to look at how we can fix the plumbing problems.
